Let me start off I love these boots. After reading the reviews most people said to get a larger size so I ordered 8.5 I am normally an 8. Well when they arrived I would have thought they were a 9 1/2. So I exchanged them for a 7 1/2 because the 8 appeared out of stock. What a seamless wonderful experience that was. They were delivered on a Wednesday I shipped back the large size on Thursday and received the replacement boot on Friday. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried on the 7 1/2 they fit with room for double or triple socks if needed I am so glad I didn’t go with the 8 or I would have had to return those also. I did t get to try them in the snow but I did walk around out side with temps around 28-30 degrees. And I was super toasty. Can’t wait for the snowUpdate:I used these boots while I hiked incredible terrain in Alaska in July 2021. These boots didn’t rub blisters, and were comfortable through each hike. I climbed up steep, rocky steps on “strenuous” trails and was happy I had such a sturdy boot. Not sure how long they would hold up, but I am glad I bought them.I bought these boots for a trip to Alaska this summer since I am always cold. The box they came in was not original. The label on the inside claimed the box had been damaged in original shipment. Not sure if these were brand new or not, but they didn’t have wear on them. When I opened the box, I thought they sent me a 9.5 wide because the boot was huge. I wear duty boots for a living, so I am used to a fit that is bulkier. However, I measured the Columbia boot against my Underarmor duty boots (which I consider to be a bulky fit) and there was about a 1/2 inch difference in size at the ball of the boot. If you’re looking for a boot to make your feet look small and cute, these are not for you.Overall, after trying them on they are very similar in fit and comfort of my 8” tall duty boots.I typically wear a 9 in women’s, and sometimes a 9.5 or 10. I am glad I got the 9.5 because I feel I could wear a thicker sock without discomfort. Once I break these boots in, I will post a follow up review. This is a replacement for my old Columbia boots. Reason I purchased the same product is because I was very happy with the first. Even though they may be a little heavy they are well-insulated, easy to put on, skid proof, and true-to-size.Great fit, wide enough, warm, stable. Great! Laces are just a hair too short but still work wellBefore I purchased these I read the reviews, many said these are not warm, waterproof, or very stiff. I decided on them anyway since I've have Columbia boots in the past. Let me say these were wonderful. I purchased them for an event I was going to be working at in MN. In MN I can go from -40 to 40 in a day. Well this weekend was are annual Beer Dabbler, where over 100 breweries get together at our state fairgrounds and drink beer for 3-4 hours. This year was warm that meant melted snow and mud. I spent 3 hours of my day in a mud water substance that I was stuck in. My boots not once leaked, got too warm or hurt my feet. I will recommend long socks since they are tall they kind of rub on the back. I would highly recommend these. Let me remind you I know what real winter is!!!I normally wear a 9. Ordered a 10. Still a half size to small. If I wanted to wear warmer socks it would need to be a size bigger yet.Though, they are so nice and warm you almost don't need winter socks in these.I loved these boots but made the mistake of buying a half size up and they were too big. I'm usually a 7.5 in boots but got an 8 (cannot figure out my reasoning for that) and they were too big even with thick socks. Couldn't get my size when I returned them so had to buy something else. They were comfortable (as snow boots go but they all have limited arch support and are stiff), warm, and looked cool. They have a very outdoorsy look, like hiking boots almost. The second pair I got will be usable even to go to casual restaurants. If we can ever do that again...I bought Columbia boots as the pair I was replacing lasted about 20 years! They fit exactly as expected. Very comfortable and warm. I ordered large as I need to take out the foot bed and replace with orthotics and wear with very thick socks. They are a little stiff as other reviews stated but I like that - give your ankles more support - also are better than my other boots on slippery surfaces. Great for Maine weather - my feet were never cold this winter. Great price also. The description states UK sizes so we ordered a 6, one size up from usual, a 6 did arrive but it was a US 6 which is a UK 4 so be careful when ordering, the boots did look good quality.Amazon you need to sort out the sizing description.i bought the more expensive aggressive boot like this too but wanted a more lighter weight boot for fast slip on, grab and go boot for snow. Both boots look alike but are not. Just slide in my foot and go. It has a rugged anti slip snow sole for ice too and i love them. Glad I got the more expensive ones too but they are more heavier for cold temperatures of winter needing more foot warmth. Both will work for winter but for me some days are not freezing and some days are -20 Celsius. Both boots are exact design and fit perfect and both do the job i need them for with comfort, easy slide in, anti-slip and rugged for working or snow fun. Excellent boot with higher height for deep snow. Great for sports recreation like snowmobiling too. Worth every dollar.
