This shoe fits well and is very comfortable but I am disappointed with the color I received. I ordered taupe and received bone . So sadGood arch support and comfortable.I agree with some of the other customers. My old Softspots were well built and the heel was solid. The newer models seem to have weak heels. In fact, a pair I bought a year ago had to be thrown out. The heel collasped and that is something my old models never did. They were comfortable, stable and held up for a very long time. I do love the design, comfort and wedge heel which I have purchassed for years. I am eager to see how well this newest pair I purchased will hold up. I certainly hope that Softspots will continue producing this style of shoe. It's very comfortable and can be worn as dressy or casual.I have worn this style for years. Why in the world of common business sense would a company stop making this style and start making a new uglyhideous unattractive version. As far as I am concerned they can "stuff" their new style. I would agree that they could have improved the original Stephanie by returning to the original of many years ago, putting more leather over the toe area and using real or better quality leather. I won't be buying their new style and I have already found a version from another company that is like the original Stephanie. This is just Another fine example of a company committing financial suicide, when all they had to do was actually listen to their customers!I love these shoes I bought two pairs almost 8 years ago. I can still wear them but the are now worn looking. Because I have bunions I have a difficult time finding shoes that fit without hurting so I ordered the wide in a size smaller than I wear. Perfect fit! They look great with skirts or slacks, dressy or casual. I do wish I could still get them in navy. It seems they may be discontinuing these because they are hard to find. Get them while you can.I've written a review before about these shoes . I really like the shoes, but they are a little big for me. I got a size 8 B width. Because that's what I usually get . But, I've hopefully solved the problem, by getting some inserts (sizers ) for the toe section of the shoe.I have been wearing and enjoying Softspots Stephanie pumps for nearly 15 or so years now, and I absolutely LOVE them!! I buy them in black, as it matchesevery outfit, but they do offer other nice colors, as well. The basic reasons why I love these shoes so well are: 1) First and foremost, COMFORT - evenat the end of my workday, I still feel comfortable; 2) Attractiveness - clean, classic style; 3) High quality - VERY well made - these shoes can last foryears; 4) The price is affordable, as well. I can't imagine a better ladies' dress shoe.I've worn Soft Spots Stephanie for more years than I care to count, but this is the first time that the left shoe seemed slightly larger on my foot. Since I have a neuropathy in my feet that makes it difficult for my foot muscles to keep shoes on while I climb stairs (which is necessary, since I live on the second story!), this latest pair is a hassle to handle. I almost turned around and sent them back.
